Climate Change Bill is DOA in the Senate

This certainly is good news. It looks like the cap and trade climate change bill is going to die a slow death in the senate….at least for now. It sounds as if it will be tabled until next year, when coincidentally either McCain, Clinton, or most likely Obama will be president and will be in favor of this legislation. But for now anyway, it looks like president Bush has won this round in the fight, and we are all better of for it.

That may be true right now but the next president will have no problem raising the prices of electricity and gasoline. You can count on it, all three remaining candidates love to raise taxes and that is what this whole bill is about, just look at the theme that you can plainly read in the following quotes.

Billions of dollars are at stake in this argument over
how to auction or allocate the pollution permits.

Permits, revenues, auctions, putting a price on and paying for carbon. That is all this is about, paying the government more money. They are no longer even trying to hide it. I know I sound like a broken record but this is too important to ignore. The next president is in favor of this massive tax increase that will kill an already slowing economy, all in the name of taking in revenue for social programs that will addict more people to government entitlements.

Carbon Belch Day; Join the Protest

A group called Grassfire.org is trying to organize a protest to save the planet from…..Al Gore. In an effort to bring further awareness to the global warming scam, they are urging people to waste as much energy as possible on June 12th, which they are calling Carbon Belch Day, to try help people to break free of the global warming hoax that is being crammed down our throats.

Conservative grassroots group Grassfire.org wants people to waste as much energy as possible on June 12 by “hosting a barbecue, going for a drive, watching television, leaving a few lights on, or even smoking a few cigars.”

The point: the group wants to “help Americans break free from the ‘carbon footprint guilt’ being imposed by Climate Alarmists.”

That is exactly what is going on with this whole scam movement, GUILT. Americans are being guilted into giving up more money, and more freedoms and luxuries to the government in exchange for feeling good about themselves. After all, nobody wants to hurt the environment, so if it takes giving up money and freedoms isn’t it a small price to pay? The government knows what is best for us, so just shut up, bend over, and take it.

”It’s time for Americans to purge ourselves of the false guilt that Al Gore and
the Climate Alarmists have placed on us,” Elliott (grassfire.org’s
president)said.

Grassfire.org said it chose June 12 as the day it wants
Americans to rev up their SUVsbecause it coincides with expected debate in
Congress over a $1.2 billion carbon tax rebate program. “Carbon Belch Day will
have at least as much impact on the so-called ‘planetary emergency’ of man-made
global warming as the goofy save the earth mandates telling us to turn our
lights off for an hour,” said Elliott.

This whole protest is going to go nowhere, but at least somebody is organizing a movement against the global warming alarmists. More and more skeptics seem to be coming out and it is none too soon. In fact it may be too late. We are reaching a critical time here. All three presidential candidates have bought into this whole tax scheme and so we will pay dearly soon. We will pay literally with our tax dollars, and we will pay with our freedoms and luxuries as well.

One day Americans will wake up and realize what happened, and they will wonder how it got to this point unless we stand up and be heard.

Guilt is a powerful tool, perhaps the most powerful. And the alarmists are using it purposely and wisely with their gradual erosion of America’s resolve to fight them.

Czech President Challenges Al Gore to a Global Warming Debate.....Al Gore Remains Silent

Czech President Vaclav Klaus, a global warming sceptic, is ready and willing to debate Al Gore one on one on the issue of the global warming scam. Al Gore will not respond to this challenge. It is nothing out of the ordinary for Al Gore to debate the "facts" of climate change, he has been challenged before and refuses to do so.

Surely a politician cannot be afraid of debating. Unless he knows that he is full of shit and is afraid to expose himself. After all we have recently learned that he used fictional scenes from the movie "The Day After Tomorrow" in his documentary and claimed they were further signs of man-made global warming. Perhaps this is why he is unwilling to debate.

Klaus is promoting his own book entitled "Blue Planet in Green Shackles - What Is Endangered: Climate or Freedom?" What a great title, and it underscores the exact point that I have been making here for over a year. That point is, I am going to write it again, I am sorry for the repetition, that global warming is a scam designed to take our money and our freedoms in the guise of saving the planet. And it just so happens to make Al Gore, the father of the movement, rich as well. What a coincidence, huh?

Vaclav Klaus makes no bones about what he thinks the answer to the question in his book title is when he says, "My answer is it is our freedom and, I might add, and our prosperity." Isn't that the truth?

He goes on to compare the global warming movement to communism, something he knows a little about:

Klaus, an economist, said he opposed the "climate alarmism" perpetuated by environmentalism trying to impose their ideals, comparing it to the decades of communist rule he experienced growing up in Soviet-dominated Czechoslovakia.

He goes on:

"Like their (communist) predecessors, they will be certain that they have the right to sacrifice man and his freedom to make their idea reality," he said.

"In the past, it was in the name of the Marxists or of the proletariat - this time, in the name of the planet," he added.

These are some of the most scathing remarks that I have seen in this debate, (even if Al Gore refuses to debate), and it feels good to finally hear somebody stand up and make some of the same accusations that I have been writing about.

He goes on to make another of my points, and that is the fact that the scientists, environmentalists, and the meteorologists who tout this issue all have a financial stake in promoting it.

"It could be even true that we are now at a stage where mere facts, reason and truths are powerless in the face of the global warming propaganda," he said.

Klaus alleged that the global warming was being championed by scientists and other environmentalists whose careers and funding requires selling the public on global warming.

"It is in the hands of climatologists and other related scientists who are highly motivated to look in one direction only," Klaus said.

Klaus is out there challenging Al Gore, yet Al Gore remains silent. If Al Gore really wanted to champion his "cause" shouldn't he take the stage and make his case to the whole world? I think so, but he is afraid because he knows the truth, he knows he will be exposed as a fraud and he is unwilling to stand up for what he wants us to believe in.

Fat People are to Blame for Global Warming?

Chalk this one up in the "now I have heard it all when it comes to global warming" column, because this time I have really heard it all.I keep saying that I have heard it all, and eventually it will be true. The stories get more strange and more stupid by the day, so here I go again claiming that there is nothing else that will ever surprise me when it comes to the depths that the environmental wackos will sink.
Obese people cause greater harm to the planet than skinny people.

Obese and overweight people require more fuel to transport them and the food
they eat, and the problem will worsen as the population literally swells in
size, a team at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine says.

And it gets better still as the obese are causing the food prices to rise, as well as the electric bill.

This adds to food shortages and higher energy prices

Non-smokers laugh every time the tobacco taxes are raised, but now the taxes are creeping into trans-fats and it won't stop there. Now that these scientists tell us there is a link between the obese and global warming;look out! Non-smokers are being targeted in more and more selected groups and they are being guilted into paying more.
If you read long and hard enough you will notice that anything and everything has been linked to man-made global warming. And because of this more and more activities need to be regulated and taxed. Don't you see what is going on here? They blame more and more groups, and get them to acquiesce to them in the guise of saving the planet when in reality their solutions all require more taxes.
They are expanding their tax base through guilt one group at a time and it is time to stop the madness. You could be next.

Al Gore Admits he Makes Millions off of the Global Warming Hoax

This is something that I have written about in the past, Al Gore stands to make millions, let me correct that, many more millions than he already has off of this whole global warming farce. Why anybody would fall for this scam after they realize how profitable it is to the god of environmentalism I will never understand. At a speech in front of potential investors Al Gore gave them some advice on where to invest their "green" money. He also admitted he stands to make a fortune if they follow his advice.

Here are just a few of the investments I personally think make sense," he said
during the March 1 presentation. "I have a stake in these so I'll have a
disclaimer there."

Finally he shows us the truth, and the truth is Al Gore is in it for the money. Just think about the arrogance this man has that he no longer even feels he has to hide this information any more. There is a problem with his company however, he need government help to keep it all afloat:

without government action on climate change, some business analysts say green
companies backed by KPCB ( Al Gore's company) are either unlikely to be
profitable or that their growth will be slow.

So it is no wonder that Al Gore is constantly saying that the United States government must get involved in the climate change hoax, it is all starting to come together now. It is time to put an end to this before it is too late and we are paying more "green" taxes, are forced to buy carbon credits, and are regulated to death.
Al Gore will make millions off of the backs of the American people, but he is not the only one. We are going to pay dearly if we do not rise up and fight this insanity. It is up to us, are we going to follow blindly or are we going to realize what is going on here and stop the insanity.
We are in deep trouble here because all three remaining presidential candidates are on board with the climate change agenda. We must not let this happen to us.
By coming right out and admitting he stands to make money off of our environmental guilt he has proven one thing. That he has brass balls. If we fall for this scam he will be able to afford gold ones.

Los Angeles Debates a Global Warming Tax

Anyone who frequents here knows that it is my belief that man-made global warming is a hoax being perpetrated on the American people in the interest of rasing taxes and imposing more restrictions and regulations on everyday life.
Then a story such as this one comes along and justifies my opinion. Los Angeles is about to take a serious look at imposing a global warming tax on motorists.

Billed as a “climate change mitigation and adaptation fee,” the measure would
cost motorists either an additional 3 percent motor fuel tax, or up to a $90
annual flat fee, based on vehicle emissions. The new charges would be on top of
taxes already paid at the pump.

This is just another example of the true aganda behind the global warming hoax. I am going to say it again, there is a reason that the leading voices on this issue are politicians and not scientists. Global warming stands to become a million if not billion dollar industry if we let them get away with this bullshit.
During this time of a supposed economic slowdown with talk of a recession, what do these politicians suggest? More taxes? If the liberals in government really cared about working class families they would be proposing bills that let us keep our money, not legislation to take more away from us.
We need to stand up now and not let them get away with this fraud. Slowly but surely Americans are being indoctrinated into this mindset. It is being taught in school as fact even though there are plenty of dissenting view out there.
Al Gore has declared the science settled and has proclaimed the debate over when if comes to climate change. We have never had a debate on this issue. We have been force fed this “science” and told we must accept it. I WILL NOT! Al Gore is afraid to debate the issue on it’s merits because it has none. So instead it is being stuffed down our throats.
Slowly but surely, through taxes and regulations, Americans are pushed into false environmentalism. Science be damned.
This global warming tax being considered in Los Angeles is only the beginning. If citizens there let them get away with it, there will be more and more to come. And it will spread across the country. Once politicians find out that people are willing to accept taxes for any purpose the door will be open for any and all taxes to come.
All three of the remaining presidential candidates are on board with this bullshit. Get ready to pay!

Al Gore Blames Myanmar Cyclone on Global Warming

It was only a matter of time before we heard this from Al Gore. Al Gore is now claiming that global warming is responsible for the cyclone in Myanmar. Al Gore should be ashamed of himself for trying to politicize a tragedy like this cyclone for his own personal benefit. At least people are starting to realize Al Gore for who and what he is, as can be seen in the first paragraph of the above linked article.

Using tragedy to advance an agenda has been a strategy for many global warming
activists, and it was just a matter of time before someone found a way to tie
the recent Myanmar cyclone to global warming.

Gore in an interview on NPR’s May 6 “Fresh Air” broadcast did just that.

That is precisely what Al Gore is doing here, using a tragedy to push his agenda. An agenda that puts millions of dollars in his pocket by the way. Here is how he tried to spin a natural tragedy into a human caused event:

And as we’re talking today, Terry, the death count in Myanmar from the cyclone
that hit there yesterday has been rising from 15,000 to way on up there to much
higher numbers now being speculated,” Gore said. “And last year a catastrophic
storm from last fall hit Bangladesh. The year before, the strongest cyclone in
more than 50 years hit China – and we’re seeing consequences that scientists
have long predicted might be associated with continued global
warming.
Gore claimed global warming is forcing ocean temperatures to
rise, which is causing storms, including cyclones and hurricanes, to
intensify.

But in his next breath he seemed to try to cover his tracks.

It’s also important to note that the emerging consensus among the climate
scientists is although any individual storm can’t be linked singularly to global
warming – we’ve always had hurricanes,” Gore said. “Nevertheless, the trend
toward more Category 5 storms – the larger ones and trend toward stronger and
more destructive storms appears to be linked to global warming and specifically
to the impact of global warming on higher ocean temperatures in the top couple
of hundred feet of the ocean, which drives convection energy and moisture into
these storms and makes them more powerful.”

He is hedging his bets there. While he claims that this storm is linked to global warming, he is admitting that individual storms can’t be directly linked to global warming. He is sitting on both sides of the fence. You can’t have it both ways Al. He seems to be starting to back off because of more and more scientists who are voicing their global warming scepticism even as he is blaming global warming for the storm.
Cyclones are an act of nature, they are not a political issue. But Al Gore and other global warming alarmists are trying to turn this into a political issue for their own gain. It is time to wake up and stop this scam before we are taxed to the gills on this bogus hoax.
